Balsamic Glazed Chicken
Share
Here's a simple recipe:
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
-
Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and dried oregano.
-
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until they are cooked through and no longer pink in the center. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
-
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
-
Reduce the heat to low, then add the balsamic vinegar and honey to the skillet. Stir well to combine and simmer for about 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce thickens and reduces by about half. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
-
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, coating each breast with the balsamic glaze. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat the chicken through and coat it with the glaze.
-
Serve the Balsamic Glazed Chicken hot, drizzling extra glaze over the top. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
This dish pairs well with a variety of side dishes, such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or rice. The sweet and tangy balsamic glaze adds a wonderful depth of flavor to the chicken.
