Balsamic Glazed Chicken

Balsamic Glazed Chicken

 Here's a simple recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and dried oregano.

  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until they are cooked through and no longer pink in the center. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  4. Reduce the heat to low, then add the balsamic vinegar and honey to the skillet. Stir well to combine and simmer for about 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce thickens and reduces by about half. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.

  5. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, coating each breast with the balsamic glaze. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat the chicken through and coat it with the glaze.

  6. Serve the Balsamic Glazed Chicken hot, drizzling extra glaze over the top. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.

This dish pairs well with a variety of side dishes, such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or rice. The sweet and tangy balsamic glaze adds a wonderful depth of flavor to the chicken.
